Limoncello has been a Sandringham staple since it opened in 2001. Family-owned and run from day one, it is the perfect place to hook up and hang out, to catch up with friends or with the paper, share a bit of gossip, grab a coffee on the way to work or kick back with some beers over Sunday brunch.

We’re a home from home for our regulars, some of whom have been coming here since the start. We’re relaxed and informal, as you’d expect from a café so close to the beach, but we’re serious about our food, too, serving a delicious, Italian-inspired breakfast, brunch and lunch menu with weekly specials, great juices and a small but discerning wine list if your lunch takes a boozy turn.

We get a fantastic mix of people through our doors. Skinny hipsters rub shoulders with young mums and local business people, grandparents bring their grandchildren here for a chocolate milk shake. One of our most loyal regulars has breakfast with us five days a week. That’s him on the left, doing the crossword.

We have air conditioning to take the edge of those really hot Melbourne days, and our outside tables offer the best people watching opportunity in one of the Bayside’s most desirable suburbs. These are highly sought after, so it’s always a good idea to book. We’re open at 7am, seven days a week, so we’re there at the time you need your coffee most. Our coffee is supplied by Gravity. They’re another loyal customer of ours. We’ve been using their coffee since we opened our doors.
